Diane & Glenn of Brolly Sheets are fantastic supporters of GaKaB. Not only are they donation hosts, with a drop off point in the Albany/Rosedale area, but also caring donors.
Today when I picked up donations there was also a very generous donation from the company. Their products are absolute gold, and the Public Health staff we deal with are so thrilled we can offer them when needed. We were very pleased to have Heather back with us

We were very pleased to have Heather back with us volunteering today. Along with her wisdom and humour Heather brought along this amazing donation of 'Fish & Chip' jumpers made by Mary. Mary along with Heather and many others, is a member of the U3A Titirangi group. U3A, University of the Third Age, groups are a way for people to explore new interests, share skills, and socialize in their retirement. Thanks Mary, these are stunning.

Some absolute stunners from the Ranui Quilters Group who meet weekly at Ranui Community Centre. Members of this group said they were going to make quilts for us, and true to their word they continue to do so. Community heroes.

As the Moon-boot suggests, Pat has not been able to be in for sometime. This hasn't stopped her contributing though. During her convalescence Pat has been busy making, as her friend Janet and daughter Janette. This has resulted in a stack of handcrafted treasure. Legends

Last year we were pleased to receive support from

Last year we were pleased to receive support from the Estate of Helen Stewart Royle Charitable Trust through the Public Trust to fund 50 Women’s Personal Dignity and Comfort Packs.
The reality of our work is that through our partnerships with both New Zealand Police and Family Action - whanau toa and others we are all too often resourcing women and children escaping family harm. This can mean women leaving a bad situation with nothing more than the clothes on their back. These packs of personal essentials, along with the other resources are both essential and clear message of community care. Our appreciation to the Royle Charitable Trust for their support.

A belated thank you to our friends at The Rotary Club of Henderson-New Zealand Rotalite West Auckland - Rotary Club and Leisel Shepherd Nutrimetics for their fabulous support just before Christmas in time for Operation Kindness.
These Nutrimetics goodie bags were perfect for some of the Mums we needed gifts for, thanks Leisel Shepherd Nutrimetics, as were the products Olivia is holding from her workplace Douglas Pharmaceutical. All this and a cash donation too. Amazing!

Just before Christmas we were visited by Grace (11

Just before Christmas we were visited by Grace (11) and her mum.
Grace has a new business making and selling body butters and scrubs. One of the soaps Grace makes with her mum's help is called the Soap of Hope. All the money made from that soap is donated to a charity. In December, her first month Grace chose Give A Kid A Blanket as her charity donated $100. Mum also donated some food.
Thanks to all those who bought 'Soap of Hope'.
Well done Grace, it's great to see you thinking about others.
